Carmarthen Together Aims

Carmarthen Together is an inclusive social organisation concerned to provide some of the glue that civil society has lost, demonstrating the kind of spirit that needs to emerge in the current emergency.

It is campaigning, educational, supportive, mutual. It aims to work closely with a variety of partners from across the social spectrum, building community resilience and cohesion in the face of the intensifying climate and ecological crises, which we are already experiencing in physical, social and economic harms.

We Aim:

To initiate or join projects and campaigns that build community resilience here in Carmarthen and in our surrounding area.

To dialogue with and potentially mediate between different sectors of our community.

To establish a reputation for listening, fairness and truth telling.

To build a directory of services that support others in their efforts.

To call out social actors when they are self-serving to our mutual cost.

Carmarthen Together believes we can take control of our own destinies if we join together. So we work with people, technology, business, 3rd sector, academia, political parties and government - in a word ANYONE who is willing to take a stand for the earth and for humanity – all ages, all colours, all classes, all gender preferences, present and future generations.
